Conceived with the goal of breathing new life and clarity into classical works of theatre through visceral, challenging, ensemble-driven productions, Titan Theatre Company began performing in 2008 in a Tex-Mex Bar and Restaurant in Long Island City, Queens.  

Since that time, Titan's signature work--which includes exciting takes on Shakespeare's canon and all types of classical theatre--has been embraced by audiences from all walks of life. TITAN is a proud contributing member to the exciting and innovative hotbed that is the Queens theatre scene.​

Titan Theatre Company reimagines classical works of theatre with clarity and vitality, challenging traditional perceptions that classical theatre is non-relevant or non-inclusive by highlighting the core values of human nature and the shared emotional connections that exist in great stories.

Titan also champions new plays that echo timeless themes and contribute to a future classical canon. 

Our goal is to create adventurous, visceral, and accessible theatre experiences while fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment where artists and audiences alike can explore the evolving possibilities of live performance.

It is with these goals in mind that Titan commits to having multiple voices within our leadership team contribute to its artistic vision and mission, as well as to its creative endeavors. We will not allow a single individual to dictate our purpose, nor will only one voice be heard when planning our seasons. We decide as a company what our values and priorities are and pledge to take on the responsibility of upholding our mutual goals and standards as a team. We will lead through collaboration and teamwork amongst our members, in order to best serve each other and our community.

Titan Theatre Company aims to cultivate a culture of safety, creativity, integrity, and artistic excellence among all participants onstage and off. We believe that through collaborating and engaging with our members and audiences, we will build a community where artists are able to openly explore and express themselves, and audiences are able to see themselves and their stories reflected on the stage.

As a theatre company located in the most diverse borough in one of the most diverse cities in the world, we strive to create a community built on creativity, collaboration, and respect for both our artists and our audiences. While we continue our work in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and representation on stage, we recognize that we still fall short as a company. In addition to casting a representative body of actors, we must begin to amplify the voices and stories of people from all walks of life as well.

Therefore, Titan commits to the following action steps:

• Continuing to invite to the table staff, company members, guest artists, and board members who reflect the community we serve.

• Committing to telling stories that define our various cultures, and champion diversity as inseparable from the excellence of our work.

• Ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all artists to create, be heard and have their voices amplified.

 Titan has also made mental health a priority within all areas of our company. In order to further our goals of creating a safe environment for all artists, we have instilled mental health practices and protocols into our production processes, our company culture, and placed a Mental Health Consultant on our staff. We believe that mental wellness is a key element to great artistic development and we will continue to strive to expand these initiatives further.
